Sonia & Mark Whitesnow

Minimalistic people photography by the two young artists Sonia and Mark Whitesnow from Russia.
Our strong intention is to do everything we do in our artwork with open heart, great efforts and professionalism. All our life we’ve been studying the principles of image processing, and photography.
Creativity comes from our hearts, sometimes our works are electrified, we live each day consciously and very attentive to each moment of our life, keeping delicate attitude to life, to every part of life, to each other. We can say we transfer our vision of being to our artworks. Everything is mutual and together, we are two parts of the whole.

Photographs of Shackleton’s Antarctica

These are Frank Hurley’s famous early colour photographs of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ill-fated ‘Endurance’ voyage, as part of the British Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, 1914-1917. Hurley was the official photographer on the expedition.
Early in 1915, their ship ‘Endurance’ became inexorably trapped in the Antarctic ice. Hurley managed to salvage the photographic plates by diving into mushy ice-water inside the sinking ship in October 1915.

Rene Felix

Unfortunately I can not find out much about this photographer, but the scenic shots of Rene Felix are extraordinarily atmospheric. On his tumblr portfolio you can find the entire archive also filled with lots of polaroids and links to his music project SRF
