Lined Font Identification
Mike Yanega of Bowfin Printworks obviously has a penchant for fonts that are modeled from lines. These so-called “multi-line” and “Inline Fonts” are a feature of the style of retro and vintage designs. Besides the popular Bauhaus & Co. still exist many other original submissions that you will not find too often nowadays.
Yanega Mike helped me in researching much because he published on his website a number of scans from different typography books and other sources. Since my last visit a few months ago many examples have been added. A good sign so that the archive can be visited in the future. Find well-known standards as well as specific findings beyond all the free font download pools.
Who on the short term search for a reasonable choice of font is appropriate and does not place great emphasis on originality is well advised to look into Schwalbenkoenigs’s Selection on dafont.com certainly good.
